Woman's Health Birch Box review

I came home on Friday to February's Birch box and I suddenly realised

i had this beaut from January still to blog about... I'm organised like that, see.

You know the drill by now, especially if you read my review on Decembers Birch box. Basically, you subscribe to the boxes and get the opportunity to try out some mostly high end products in sample size. I think its a great way to try out products that are either too expensive for you to take a gamble on or to learn about new brands you may not have heard of. I've made no secret about my fitness or lack of it so I was a little hesitant at first but once I got that lid off I was pleasantly surprised!



As you can see, we have a very exciting assortment here including the full sized stila lip gloss. I am still yet to use a couple of items so can't review the box fully but here is my breakdown of what's inside..

 

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangler leave-in Conditioner £14 for full size.

I tried this probably within hours of opening the box. It does exactly what you want from a heat protector/leave-in conditioner. It protects your hair from heat and detangles. What I really love about this though, is the smell! It is sweet and lingers on your hair all day. Gorgeous. I don't know if I will buy the full sized bottle as I love the TreSemme heat protector spray and its a lot cheaper but I am definitely enjoying using this up!

 

Shave works The Cool Fix Targeted gel lotion £11 for full sized

I am yet to try this one as I don't keep it in my bathroom and then forget to use it. I think the idea is fantastic though as I always get ingrown hairs or shaving rash TMI? This claims to treat ingrown hairs, razor bumps, razor burn and redness. I don't  know of any other product that specialises specifically on this and if this works, I will definitely be buying this over and over again.

 

REN Glycolactic radiance renewal mask £30 for full sized

This is the product that really got me excited! I cannot tell you how long I have wanted to try this out! Ive tried REN products before and they are fantastic and I would say worth the money as they feel luxurious and this is no exception. The consistency and smell of this stuff is like orange curd which is just so mouthwatering and pleasing to put on your face! I didn't see any immediate difference in my skin but there really aren't a lot of products that successfully do that anyway. It did leave my skin feeling refreshed, smooth and firm.

 

Stila Lip Glaze FULL SIZE tube £15

This is a full size tube which is very generous! The packaging and application of this really remind me of the Ruby & Millie lip glosses... Anyone remember those? The colour of this is a pretty clear peach with glitter. I would prefer this if it didn't have glitter as I am very fussy with make up with glitter and the glitter doesn't feel too comfortable on the lips but I will definitely use this as It will be great to perk up your make up when your short on time.

 

Embrace matcha green tea £24.99 for full size

I still haven't used this as I don't want to just use it as a tea but to use it in a clever way as this comes in a powder form. I am looking forward to trying this as I am a huge fan of tea and this claims to have 10 times the antioxidants as regular green tea which will be very beneficial to me.

 

Activbod feel great shower concentrate £5 for full size

The smell of this is so wonderful. It smells a lot like tea but in a very spa-like manner. It claims to be a concentrate rather than a shower gel so you don't need to use a lot and it really does pack a punch scent wise. I will definitely get this again as the smell really stays on your skin and I think I would get a lot of compliments. Ill probably keep hold of the rest of this and use it for travel as it is the perfect size.

 

Birch Box Pilate's band £7.99

I'm not going to lie, when I first picked this up I thought it was some sort of head sweat band! I don't think theres any place for this In my life but it was a nice thought. I don't even know how you are supposed to use this. If your into fitness I can imagine this would be a lovely thing to own. I'm not into fitness.
