BirchBox May review 'Free your mind'

Birchbox May review
I may seem like a stranger of late so I will apologise firstly, I have had a spell of green fingers and I have spent every spare minute sorting out my garden and I have to say I have been loving it! watch out Alan Titchmarsh, I'm after you job!! anyway I thought I really should stop neglecting my blog so I have walked away from my garden to make sure my birch box review is done at least!

So Mays birch box had a fantastic box this month, it has been designed to look like one of those adult colouring books that are all the rage at the moment and I was excited to get cracking! a competition was in place which involved you colouring the box in a style that most suits you but I didn't get round to applying. A brief look over this months menu saw some exciting brands, mainly WAH London and caudalie.

birchbox may review free your mind whish body butter
Whish however were a brand I am unfamiliar with and I was a little underwhelmed to receive yet another body butter. That all changed as soon as I took a whiff of this though as it is so mouthwatering! I used this up within a week and absolutely loved it! Id go as far as saying it was my favourite item out of the box. It reminds me of bake well tarts and sinks into the skin beautifully. I would love to buy this but I may have to have a long hard think as I do think £14.50 is possibly a little steep for a body butter? what do you think?

birchbox may review free your mind No4 lumiere d'hiver reconstructing masque
I completely forgot about the Lumiere d'hiver reconstructing masque and I am still yet to use it. My hair is getting rather dry in the warmer weather so I will sure to trial this soon. I will say that the sachet doesn't look all that inspiring and I haven't heard of No4 so I really do not know what to expect. Full size is £36 which is a little hard to digest so I am expecting miracles!
birchbox may review free your mind parlor by jeff chastain moisturising sea salt spray
I'm not a huge fan of sea salt sprays for hair as my hair just doesn't do tousled waves (trust me, I've tried every tip out there) But I do own a couple already and sometimes spritz a bit into already curled hair. What I liked about the Parlor moisturising sea salt spray by Jeff Chastain was that it had a pleasant smell which is a stark contrast to the others I've tried that literally smell like the ocean and not in a good way. If you use sea salt sprays regularly then this will be right up your street but I doubt ill repurchase this as it just isn't the sort of thing I gravitate towards. Full size is £17 which I would say is a standard price for a high end hair product.
birchbox may review free your mind wah london
I was excited to see how this Wah London polish would perform like as I am yet to try any products by WAH London surprisingly and from £7 they are not what I would class as expensive. I actually don't have that many pillar box red shades either so this was a welcome surprise. Application is smooth and easy and didn't chip straight away so I will definitely be buying more from the range. I also think the packaging is super sleek.

birchbox may review free your mind Caudalie vinoperfect radiance tinted moisturiser
I was very impressed to receive this Caudalie vinoperfect Radiance tinted moisturiser and even more impressed with the size of the tube! its almost like a full sized tube! When I tried this though I found it to be a little tacky on application. It wasn't awful but for £27 full sized I wouldn't buy this and have to admit I am yet to try a game changing caudalie product. If you are a fan of tinted moisturisers this one might be better suited to you as I do usually opt for a lightweight foundation that still has good coverage like loreals true match foundation which I'm loving at the moment.
birchbox may review free your mind jelly pong pong carribean sun bronze duo

I haven't heard a lot about Jelly pong pong as a brand but they are not completely alien to me so I was still impressed when I received this little Caribbean sun bronzer duo. I think this would be a great one to take travelling if your going on holiday this year as it wont take up to much space and acts as a multi purpose product. It has a matte bronzer on one side and a shimmer bronzer on the other although in my opinion its definitely more of a highlight, in fact I am more likely to use the shimmer shade as an eyeshadow. I'm yet to use this one but will be taking this on weekends away. Full size is £15.95 which is average price point.

Last but not least, what good is a colouring in box without any colouring pencils?! obviously this item is a bit tongue in cheek and I know some people will be a bit naffed off that they received pencils in place of a beauty item but I am all for the colouring pencils and this filled me with nostalgia remembering colouring in books as a child. a bit gimmicky but I was all over these!

What did you think of the colouring in box? did you find it juvenile or did you love the throwback qualities?
