As a self confessed make up addict, I always find I get giddy over new palettes and I know I am not alone. Of course I don't need a new palette with crowd pleasing nude and brown shades, and yet some how I always get sucked in to buying more and more! I will be putting these to use in the near future with a 7days 7palletes blog so let me know in the comment section below if that is something you would love to see...

This purchase was however a little more planned as I had read loads of stellar reviews on this tempting number boasting to compete with the naked basics palettes and quite frankly on offer at £2.99 (normal price £3.99 available here ) what exactly is there to lose?
The eyes uncovered palette is available in 3 colour combinations (nude, nude bronze and nude grey) but as a bit of buzz had generated around this palette I only had the choice of nude. Which was fine, as I feel this one is the most versatile.

Left to Right ; White Chocolate, Buttercream, Biscuit, Chocolate milk, Brown sugar, Espresso

None of these shades are what I would describe as completely matte but the shades white chocolate and espresso only have a slight sheen to them an the rest are shimmery. The eyes uncovered nude palette comes with a double ended sponge applicator but I never use these. The packaging is good quality for the price but nothing to rave about.

As you can see, the colour pay off isn't amazing but its not awful and these shadows are really easy to work with on the eye. I'm not the best blender but I found it really easy with the eyes uncovered nude palette although because of the fairly lack lustre pigmentation only a subtle day look is achievable. The thing that personally really bugs me is that these shades do not last long and by lunchtime theres not a lot left on the lid. To get these to last past noon you really have to work a decent eye primer and they don't come cheap which makes me question the real value of this palette.

I would say overall this is a great beginners palette and also fantastic value if you are on a budget. As far as a drugstore palette goes, the eyes uncovered nude palette is a good contender. If you own a decent high end palette like the urban decay ones, theres not a lot of point in bothering with this as it will not compare.

Have you tried this palette? did you love it or hate it?
